Data upload lag and differences in testing and/or reporting practices among jurisdictions also mean data presented here may vary from hospital admission numbers reported by jurisdictional health departments and the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

The data presented are generated through collaboration between the PAEDS and FluCAN networks, which are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care.

Influenza data are historically seasonal, but from April 2024, surveillance will occur year-round. Data on this page will be updated monthly.
